FUM Long-Range Planning Discussion
March 18 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm EDT
Join us for a conversation about Long-Range Financial Planning for Friends United Meeting on March 18th, at 7pm in the Thorne Room of Wilmington Friends Meeting. Our discussion will be led by Emily Provance, Traveling Friend and Clerk of FUM’s Long-Range Financial Planning Committee. Late last year, Friends United Meeting issued an emergency fundraiser notize on behalf of the Belize Friends School, a beloved ministry project of many in our community, and one which several Friends from our area have visited. Friends raised more than the amount needed to keep the Belize School open for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year, which you can read about here on FUM’s website. Questions remain, however, about long-term plans for the School… and, more generally, about the health of FUM’s finances and fundraising models. Emily does not have answers to all of these questions, of course, but she is available to give a window into how financial conversations at FUM are taking shape. Emily is visiting us on March 18th as part of a nine-day stay in the Wilmington area, including a youth lock-in at Quaker Knoll, a potluck lunch at Ada Chapel Friends, and attending the Wilmington College/WYM College Committee Banquet.
