Wilmington Advocacy Workshop
March 2 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm EST
From escalating tensions with Iran to ongoing U.S. support for the Saudi-led war in Yemen, the world needs peace advocates now more than ever. People often ask us, “How can I be more effective as an advocate for justice?” Or, “What can I do besides sending emails and making phone calls?”
Grassroots advocates have tremendous power to influence members of Congress and hold them accountable.
You are invited to attend an Introduction to Wilmington Advocacy Workshop with Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL). The meeting will be at Wilmington College, in Pyle Center Dining Rooms C and D, on Monday, March 2, 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM. Come and learn strategic and effective advocacy tools to promote peace and justice and be part of creating a local grassroots advocacy team in Wilmington.
At the workshop, you will also learn about the 2020 FCNL Advocacy Team campaign to end endless wars and prevent war with Iran. The FCNL Advocacy Teams Trainer will be Sarah Freeman-Woolpert. FCNL is excited to have Wilmington college students and community members join the other 121 advocacy teams in 41 states.
