Quaker Knoll Work Days: March 28 – 29

Work? At Quaker Knoll??? Why, yes!

The Camp Board requests any & all able-bodied persons to join them at Quaker Knoll on Saturday, March 28, beginning around 9 a.m., and on Sunday, March 29, after Worship (as needed). Jay puts in many hours and does a fantastic job, but cleaning (especially “spring cleaning”), fixing, and otherwise maintaining the property is more than one person can do. And then we add to that upgrades & improvements!

So, please consider lending a hand! There are tasks suitable for all skill levels and time commitments. A primary focus will be improving the electric options in the cabins, and hopefully installing some ventilation fans in the ridges. These fans would help not only by preventing the cabins from becoming stifling in July, but also free up outlets and floor space previously taken up with box fans. Other tasks include any finishing touches needed for the full camping season to begin, the aforementioned “spring cleaning” in the House and Lodge, and whatever else Jay puts on our “to do” list!

I don’t think anyone is planning to spend the night, though Friends would be welcome to! Maybe a semi-spontaneous unprogrammed Meeting for Worship could start Sunday off right! Anyone choosing to stay would be on their own for food (and cleaning up after yourselves!).
