Staying Committed, Creative, and Clear-Hearted in Our Work:

A Community Discussion Led by Kelly Crouch, Featuring Patricia Thomas and Taylor Stuckert

What helps us keep going in the work we are called to when keeping on gets hard? Over time, our commitments can be worn down by exhaustion or polarization. In this interactive conversation, we’ll explore how we can remain committed, creative, and clear-hearted when times are tough.

This gathering is also a fundraiser for Ecumenical Commons, a new nonprofit founded by Kelly Crouch that offers spiritual accompaniment to public servants and hosts conversations about economics. It is part of a campaign to raise $10,000 by December 13 to carry the work into 2027. A donor has offered to match every gift, so each dollar given is doubled.

Kelly will share how Ecumenical Commons has been shaped by Quaker practice and their experience in the Clinton Community Fellows program. We’ll also hear from two people who have been a part of that story:

• Taylor Stuckert, who founded Energize Clinton County and the Clinton Community Fellows Program, serves as CEO of Lead for America, and is a member of Campus Friends.

• Patricia Thomas, who has served as a Quaker pastor and professor, and is a member of Campus Friends.
