Lakeway Quaker Meeting (preparatory) Finds a Home!

Excited & Grateful!

Best describe Lakeway Quaker Meeting (preparatory) as they were able to acquire, with the Yearly Meeting’s generous distribution from the Living Faithfully Fund, a very nice piece of flat property (in east TN!) on Flat Gap Road (why, yes, the road’s name says it all!).

On Sunday, October 11, at the conclusion of the Friendsville Quarterly Meeting which, in an historic first, was held at Lakeway’s temporary meeting space at First Baptist Church, Jefferson City, several Friends took a very short field trip to see/show off the property. There is a metal horse barn with “good bones” which they hope to repurpose as a Meetinghouse.

Here are a few pictures — find more HERE.

Copastors Andy & Ashlyn Stanton-Henry with
Dan Brown, Lakeway QM, and
Joan VanSickle Sloan, Maryville, stand at the front door to the horse barn.

A view of the property, which extends just into the wood line at the back of the picture.

Tack included! (Oh — not to mention free fertilizer….)
